Overview
The HDVF-EL30 is a high-quality OLED panel with a 0.7″ display and a resolution of 1920×1080 x3 (RGB). It offers quick pixel response, high brightness, and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, making it twice as bright as the DVF-EL100. The panel is small and requires an optical loupe for viewing, which is fixed on the chassis and can also display a tally and camera number on a separate 3.5-inch sub-LCD display. The loupe has been re-designed for lower distortion and a higher eyepoint, and the sub-LCD display has a foldable hood to reduce reflections in direct sunlight.

The HDVF-EL30 also has features such as a distance measuring sensor for extended panel life, red/green/yellow tally options, focus magnification indicator, and assignable buttons for functions like focus magnifier and new peaking+. It is compatible with Sony 4K/HD cameras and camcorders, making it a versatile and useful tool for camera operators and assistants.

About the Sony HDVF-EL30 HD Viewfinder
Successor to the CRT models HDVF-20A and HDVF-200, the HDVF-EL30 uses now-mature OLED technology to deliver the world’s first 0.7″ OLED panel with 1920×1080 x3 (RGB) resolution.

With it comes the OLED advantages of quick pixel response (comparable to CRT) and high brightness. It also has Intelligent Brightness Control using a distance sensor for extended panel life. The optical loupe system has also been re-designed for lower distortion and the option of having a higher eyepoint.

3.5″ Quarter-HD (960 x 540) sub-LCD Display

The HDVF-EL30 is equipped with an additional 3.5-inch, quarter HD (960 x 540) sub-LCD display for direct monitoring over a longer distance. Using both sub-LCD panel and OLED displays, offers full operational flexibility enabling a camera assistant to monitor the sub-LCD display while the camera operator uses the OLED one. A tally indicator and the camera number can be displayed on the sub-LCD panel. The supplied foldable hood avoids sunlight reflection.

Other significant features include Green and Yellow tally as well as Red, displayed on the edge of the panel, focus magnification indicator, Enhanced Peaking and two assignable buttons.
